#5 Lumps and Bumps
Bumps (lymph nodes) are common with many cancers, especially of the head and neck area. Cancers can present with bumps anywhere but the most common areas are the side of the neck, under the armpit and groin. In women bumps may present in the breast, hence regular exam of the breast is highly recommended. Anytime a bump presents and does not go away within a few weeks, one must see a healthcare provider. Once should never assume that a bump is nothing significant if it persists for more than a few weeks.
