If you have ever seen the movie, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, you would most certainly believe that it was filmed on the premises of a real hotel somewhere in, um, Budapest? Why, not? Surely this historical city doesn’t have a shortage of beautiful buildings that could play host to the filming of this epic movie? Right? Wrong!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the beautiful hotel featured in this movie is lovely alright, but is simply part of a miniature movie set! Rest assured, this miniature movie set is at least beautifully crafted and just as traditional and historical as any old, Budapest hotel would be!
